In Austin, Texas, a local plastic surgeon helps her community besides offering assistance in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Jennifer Walden, runner up for Woman of the Year is actively involved in reaching out in her community. She strives to help those who are in need within her community. Through her work in outreach, children in Texas are able to go home on weekends to a hot meal. For children who are in school, if they receive a free or reduced lunch, they are able to have a backpack filled with food to take home on Friday. The school will hand out this backpacks prior to the end of the school day and the children will take the bag home to help them eat throughout the weekend.

After the birth of the twins, Dr. Walden decided to move closer to family and return back to Austin. Once she was back in Austin, Dr. Walden opened a new practice. This new practice helps patients with breast augmentations, liposuction, nose jobs and so much more.
Dr. Walden went into this field to be able to help women feel better about themselves. Not all women are born beautiful, well beautiful as the world sees it. For those who feel less beautiful, they are able to gain that confidence they desire through the help of cosmetic surgery. For some, it might be they just need a little lift but for those who need more, the option is there for them thanks to Dr. Walden.
